Glee - how was it for you?
GIMA are currently working on the Glee surveys which were returned to the GIMA Office in considerable numbers, with feedback from exhibitors on this year's show.
GIMA President Spencer Goodall says: “The feedback we gain from this annual survey is a key part of what has helped re-shape the exhibition over the last couple of years. While there will always be work to do to keep the show driving forward we are proud of the part GIMA has played in pulling the industry together into one exhibition at the right time of the year. We have enjoyed working alongside the GLEE team to create the ideal platform for buyers and sellers to do business.”
And what a show it was this year too! Antony Harker, Managing Director of Kelkay Ltd said: “There has been a fantastic response to the new ranges with the quality of visitors very high. Our stand was constantly busy and we have taken more orders than last year, especially for the more Christmas orientated products, such as the fountains and the new resin garden ornament ranges. GLEE has set us up very nicely for the year ahead.”
Vicky Nuttall Head of Marketing for Forest Garden, Vicky Nuttall commented: “The targeted marketing and VIP buyer programme worked well this year with the pre-registration activity driving good quality buyers to the show. The builders merchants we saw were pleased with what they saw, and those who did not come must have missed out.”
GIMA members did well, not only in the orders they took and the leads gained, but trade association members walked away with two of the three Glee Best Stand Awards. Wildlife World were winners in the medium category and the large stand category was won by Tenax UK Ltd. Glee marketing manager, David Langrish said:“Congratulations to the winners of the Glee Best Stand Awards, one of our most coveted titles. All the winners clearly demonstrated that by utilising imaginative design, clever planning, plus a wide range of colours, visual aids and merchandise it is possible to create really stunning displays that draw more people onto your stand and ultimately boost business for the future.”
